samsung-tizen-smartphone

Its not like there has been any shortage of rumors about Samsung’s long awaited Tizen smartphone. The company has delayed this product time and time again, and has not revealed much about its specifications. Perhaps we’ll hear more at the Tizen event at MWC that has already been scheduled, but that’s still no indication of whether a release is imminent. Apparently the Korean manufacturer is going to call the first Tizen smartphone “Zeke,” a purported image of the device has leaked online, bearing model number ZEQ9000.

The purported image is accompanied by specifications. Zeke is said to be slightly smaller than the Galaxy S4 with a 4.8 inch HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor under the hood. The device seen in this image certainly bears resemblance to Samsung’s smartphone language, it appears to be made out of textured plastic, a material that the company has frequently used for other smartphones. Even if the image looks credible, given that the Tizen OS seen is quite similar to the screenshots that were leaked last year, it still can’t be said for sure if this is the real deal. For all we know, it could be the work of a really good concept designer. We’ll just have to wait until MWC 2014 to hear Samsung’s Tizen smartphone plans. [Image via MovePlayer]
