Moto-Turbo-Charger

Last month a listing for the Motorola Turbo Charger was spotted on the Google Play Store. At the time this accessory was listed as “coming soon,” so one couldn’t really say when it would be available for purchase, well the wait ends today. Motorola Turbo Charger listing is alive and well on the Google Play Store which now allows customers to purchase this accessory.

In case you were wondering what it is that this charger does basically it provides a quick burst of power when your battery needs it the most, that’s actually what the Play Store description of this product reads, this is actually Motorola’s take on the Quick Charge 2.0 power adapter from Qualcomm.

The charger does precisely what the name suggests. It pumps up to 15 watts of power into a smartphone that supports Quick Charge 2.0, like many flagship devices which were released in 2014, so users can get a reasonable amount of battery time after charging their device only for a few minutes.

Newer Motorola phones like the Nexus 6 do work with the Motorola Turbo Charger and according to the company a 15 minute session with this charger provides up to six additional hours of battery life. Other OEMs are selling Quick Charge 2.0 adapters for less but Motorola’s Turbo Charger is being sold through its website and the Google Play Store for $34.99.
