galaxy-s6-vs-galaxy-s6-edge_04The Samsung Galaxy S6 was one of the more anticipated handsets of the year and safe to say that Samsung did not disappoint when they announced both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, the version of the Galaxy S6 with curved displays at its sides. That being said how many units can we expect Samsung to sell this year?

According to recent estimations, it seems that analysts have predicted that Samsung will sell as many as 50 million Galaxy S6 handsets in 2015 alone which we have to say is a pretty impressive number. Of course it remains to be seen if Samsung will actually be able to move that many handsets, but given the popularity of the Galaxy S-series we don’t see why not.

The estimation of 50 million is actually an increase from a CitiBank analyst who predicted that Samsung would ship 46 million Galaxy S6 handsets this year, and we all know that units shipped does not equate to units sold. This will also be a combination of both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge and it will be interesting to see how well either device performs over the other.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has been rumored for a launch on the 11th of April in the US, so will you be picking yourself up a Galaxy S6/S6 Edge upon its release?
