samsung-galaxy-s6_006In our review of the Samsung Galaxy S6, we loved the phone overall but in terms of battery life, let’s just say that Samsung’s had older phones with much better battery life, like the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4. Now before this puts you off from purchasing the handset, rest assured because Samsung has recently pushed out an update that should address the battery issues.

The latest update can be found in the Google Play Store and according to the changelog, it states that the update will apply patches for reduced data usage and power consumption, so if you feel that your Galaxy S6 has been draining more data and battery than necessary, hopefully this update will be able to address that.

We can’t confirm whether or not the update works as intended, but if you already have a Galaxy S6, then go ahead and download the update and let us know in the comments below. The update will also apply to the Galaxy S6 Edge so if you have the device, you should be able to download the update as well.

As expected the update has also addressed some bugs found within the phone, although Samsung does not detail exactly what bugs have been addressed, but hopefully it will result in a smoother experience overall.
