Last year Samsung launched their Galaxy A-series of smartphones in the form of the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7. If you were wondering what about the models that might fill the numbers in between, you might recall that Samsung has filed trademarks for those names, such as the Galaxy A6, A8, and A9.
While the Galaxy A6 and A9 have yet to make an appearance, it seems that photos of the Galaxy A8 have surfaced, giving us a glimpse as to what the handset could look like upon its official release. Now design wise it doesn’t seem like Samsung has made any radical changes as it will still sport the metal band around its frame.
In terms of specs, Samsung has yet to confirm anything yet so what we know about the phone is based on rumors. As far as processors are concerned, the Galaxy A8 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 and will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and will feature a 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
It will also pack a 3,050mAh battery. In terms of its display, there is some contention in that area. The rumors claim it will feature a 5.7-inch Full HD display, while another more recent rumor has it pegged at a 5.5-inch Full HD display. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more about the phone in its official capacity soon.
