There are several different virtual reality headsets in the market that we can already get our hands on. This includes the likes of the Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard, where the latter can either be built by yourself or you can purchase pre-built ones by other manufacturers. If there’s one thing these headsets have in common is that they rely on smartphones to power it.

Now if you’re looking for another VR option, you’re in luck as a company by the name of Paralo has launched their own VR headset called the PLAY. Just like the Gear VR and Cardboard, the PLAY VR headset is basically a mount for your smartphone that you wear on your face, and together with specialized software it helps create a virtual reality experience for the wearer.

The PLAY headset is made from silicone rubber so not will it be more durable that the Cardboard, but because of its relatively soft and flexible nature, it should contour to your face nicely. “The uni-body structure has a phone slot that allows PLAY to accommodate most smartphones. And every contour is designed ergonomically to match facial features.”

That being said apart from that, we’re not sure what else about the PLAY would make it a compelling purchase, however with a price of $40 (limited offer), we suppose it is rather affordable as far as VR headsets are concerned, so if you’d like to lend them a helping hand in getting their project off the ground, hit up their Kickstarter page for the details.
