There are plenty of ways to be woken up. You can rely on more traditional alarm clocks, alarm clocks that turn on the radio, alarm clocks on your phone, alarm clocks that can kick start the coffee machine, and more. However if you’re after a more well-rounded device, you might be interested in the Beddi.

As you can see in the video above, the Beddi does not look like your typical alarm clock based on its design alone, which we have to say looks kind of flashy. Under the hood, it does more than tell the time and wake you up. It also has the ability to connect to a variety of apps and services, like Spotify, Uber, Nest, Philips Hue, WeMo Switch, and more.

So instead of just waking you up, you get to control a variety of smart connected objects in your home, and even hail yourself and Uber ride, all from the comfort of your bed. It even acts as a dock where users can charge their phone by their bedside the night before, thus waking up to a fully charged device.

According to Witti’s CEO (the company behind Beddi) Alfred Wong, “Waking up is half the battle. Beddi helps you get out of bed and start your day on a positive note. As smartphones replace traditional alarm clocks, Beddi combines the functionality and flexibility of a smartphone with the added benefits of smart home control right from your nightstand.”

If you’d like to help make Beddi a reality, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details on how to pledge your support.
