galaxy-s7-china-mobileSamsung’s CES press conference announcement revealed that the company would be focusing more or TV and home appliances. This means that any hope of Samsung announcing the Galaxy S7 in January next year is pretty much gone. This leaves us with another option which last we heard, was February 2016 which is in time for MWC.

However according to the latest reports, it seems that we have a new date to look forward to and that is March 2016. This is according to a recent China Mobile event in which according to a slide shared by the carrier, it revealed that the Galaxy S7 has been pegged for a release in March of next year.

We’re not sure if this means the phone will be announced in March as well, or if the February announcement still holds true, but will see a March release instead. As a carrier, we suppose China Mobile should be privy to certain information that the rest of us don’t, so there is a slight possibility that they might know what they’re talking about.

An alternative would be that they’re just speculating when the phone will be released based on previous releases. Either way we suppose it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully more details will reveal themselves in the coming weeks and months.
