home-audio-systemThere is no limit to human creativity, that is for sure, and hence it is interesting to check out this hack of a home audio system that hailed all the way back from the 1960s. Talk about bringing back a blast from the past, complete with the latest trappings of 21st century technology? Retro with a modern twist is always a winner in our book, and this particular so-called hack certainly rolls back the years. Imgur user cpotier decided to take hold of the Nutone 2090 home intercom system which was revealed as solution way back in the 1960s and 1970s, where he made use of a Raspberry Pi in order to incorporate a modern display system as well as make a complete revamp of the internal components through an upgrading process.

The end result is what you see above, where it looks retro and yet modern at the same time. Certainly this is putting new wine into an old wineskin, but the proverbial old wineskin here does not look like it is going to burst anytime soon. It is also nice to see that products such as the Raspberry Pi will allow users to churn out more customized products in the future.
