oneplus 3With the success OnePlus has seen with the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, and the OnePlus X, it’s no secret that a new OnePlus phone will be launched later this year in the form of the OnePlus 3, and maybe a new OnePlus X variant. With the former, we’ve seen leaked photos which shows off what the phone will look like.

Now thanks to a recent tweet by Evan Blass, it looks like the official promo rendering of the upcoming OnePlus 3 has been revealed. Sure enough looking at the rendering, it certainly lines up with what we’ve seen previously, although we guess it is possible that this render could have been made based on the previous leaks, but with Blass’s history and reputation, it’s more than likely the real deal.

The phone looks pretty good and it seems that OnePlus might have drawn some inspiration from HTC with the design of the OnePlus 3, which is actually not a bad thing as HTC’s phones are generally well-designed. According to Blass and in addition to the tweet, he notes that the phone will come with a 3,000mAh battery and an OLED display.

As to whether or not OnePlus will be maintaining its Full HD resolution or finally bumping it to QHD remains to be seen. No word on when the OnePlus 3 will be launched, but hopefully this leaked render is a sign that we are getting close.
