Style-ModOne of the ways Motorola has tried to set themselves apart from the competition would be by offering up customization for their phones. Sure, other companies offered up different colors, but this was mostly fixed meaning that once you’ve chosen, you can’t really change your mind, which is how Motorola’s phones differ with the Moto Maker feature.

That being said, it seems that Motorola could be coming up with some new designs soon, thanks to the folks at TechDroider who have managed to get their hands on what appears to be new designs for the upcoming Moto Style Shells, which for those unfamiliar are shells for the Moto Z handsets that clip magnetically onto the back of the phone.

From what we can tell, it looks like we will be given some new wooden options. It even looks like there might be one made from cork, and one that looks almost marble-like in texture, although we’re not sure if this is simply a design or if it will actually be made from it. Either way it does look pretty good but no word on pricing or launch yet.

However we have heard rumors that a Moto Z Play is in the works and could be launching soon, so perhaps we will find out about the new Moto Style Shells then.
