samsung logoCompanies these days who are planning on launching new products have a pretty hard time trying to keep a lid on things. This is also partly due to the fact that these days information can be disseminated pretty easily and quickly, and usually once something goes online, there’s almost no way of getting rid of it.

However this is something that Samsung seems to be doubling down on. According to a report from The Korea Herald, apparently Samsung is trying to clamp down hard on leaks regarding its upcoming Galaxy S8 which is expected to be launched next year. The company has apparently sent out emails to its employees and partners to help tighten security to prevent leaks, claiming that it puts the company at financial risk and could lead to a loss of trust amongst their other partners involved.

This move shouldn’t really come as a surprise as we’re sure that many companies are working just as hard to prevent leaks where they can. It used to be that Apple was one of the most secretive tech companies around, although given that over the years the number of Apple leaks and rumors seems to have increased with alarming accuracy, it seems like it has become harder to plug them.
