To say that Arrested Development is a fan favorite would be an understatement. This much-loved show soon became a cult hit after Fox aired it back in 2003. However, the network decided to cancel it after the third season in 2006. Netflix did fans a solid and brought it back as a semi-original series. The fourth season was released by Netflix in 2013 and since then there has been talk of a new Arrested Development season. The latest news is that the new season will likely be confirmed soon.

Executive producer of Arrested Development Brian Grazer has confirmed to The Wrap that the entire cast has agreed to return for the new season. That’s great news for fans.

“All of the actors have agreed to do [another season] and I think they’ve agreed to their compensation structure,” Grazer said, adding that “That’s been the hardest — it’s all hard… but it should be happening soon.”

His words should give fans hope that Netflix is going to officially confirm the new Arrested Development season in the very near future now that the biggest hurdles have been cleared.

Grazer previously said that the fifth season could have 17 episodes but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Hopefully, Neflix will say more about the upcoming season, particularly about its structure, sooner rather than later.
