Samsung’s Gear S3 smartwatches are pretty nicely designed, but if you were hoping to see more variations, then you might be interested to learn that during Baselworld 2017, Samsung has taken the wraps off several new Gear S3 models, as well as unveiled a couple of new wearable concepts that we’re not sure if it will ever be put into production.

These watches were designed by Switzerland-based luxury watch designer, Yvan Arpa . According to Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, “We understand that a watch is more than just a time keeper, it caters to personal style and interests. The Gear S3 takes convenience, style and innovation to the next level, while retaining a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The Gear S3 is more than just a smartwatch, it is a beautifully designed watch that puts a timeless spin on the smartwatch category, crafted for both watch aficionados and tech enthusiasts.”

Some of the new designs include the use of new materials for the Gear S3, as well as new band options, all of which add up to a pretty unique look for the smartwatch. Samsung even unveiled a hybrid pocket watch version of the Gear S3, which in reality is a traditional watch with Swiss-made movement, except that on the surface it was designed to look more like the Gear S3. So what do you guys think of these designs? Are they something you’d like to get your hands on?
