We still have a couple of months to go before Apple formally unveils the iPhone 8. The company’s next-generation smartphone is the source of much anticipating these days among Apple fans as they are excited to find out what the company has in store for them. The latest leak related to the iPhone 8 gives us a look at the purported metal frame for the handset.

Apple has long opted for a metal and glass build for the iPhone so it’s quite natural to assume that this is going to be the case for the iPhone 8 as well. We can reasonably expect the iPhone 8 to have a metal build.

The purported iPhone 8 metal frame that you see here is compared to an iPhone 6 case. While the frame itself doesn’t reveal much about the device’s design, it does give an idea of the iPhone 8’s footprint, which is believed to be one of the largest iPhones that Apple has ever made.

That’s not the only first that this device will be claiming. The iPhone 8 is also expected to be the first smartphone from Apple to feature an OLED display.

Apple hasn’t said anything about its smartphone plans for 2017 so nothing is known for sure at this point in time.
