In certain video games, one way to regenerate health, energy, mana, and so on is by eating or drinking items. Back then such items were somewhat inconsequential and were more utilitarian than anything. However in recent times, we’ve started to see developers pay more attention to such items, resulting in some pretty well-crafted food items in game.

It looks like that same treatment was applied to Monster Hunter: World, so much so that in a tweet by user Ki-Ki (via Kotaku), he shared photos of food cooked by his wife designed to look like some of the food items found in the game, and we have to admit that it looks pretty good and close to the actual thing.

That being said, it has been pointed out that the Capcom Cafe in Saitama, Japan already serves food from the Monster Hunter franchise which already looks pretty decent, but for someone to do it in their own time and for fun, kudos for what appears to be an excellent job at recreating the dish!

This is not the first time we’ve seen video games inspire food creations. Fans of Final Fantasy XV actually put together a cookbook based on food in the game. There is also an official World of Warcraft cookbook, plus last year there was also a cooking show in South Korea based on Blizzard’s MMORPG.
