Details are slim but it appears that the lead actress Kristen Bell has agreed to reprise her role.
According to reports, Hulu is close to closing a deal with Warner Bros. for a new season of Veronica Mars. Kristen Bell will be returning in addition to Rob Thomas, the creator of this series. The season may have eight to ten episodes and the project is said to have been in development for several months.
It’s not uncommon for streaming services to pick up fan favorite shows and launch new seasons in order to bring in more subscribers. It’s a tried and tested formula that others like Netflix have also used.
Hulu hasn’t officially commented on the reports so many of the details about this new Veronica Mars season are not yet available. It’s not known what the plot of this new season will be and when we can expect it to arrive on the streaming service.
