Hulu is reportedly planning a move to skinnier bundles which will include options with premium add-ons. The company today announced that it’s now going to offer Starz as an add-on to its service. It will be available to subscribers in all tiers, this includes the Limited Commercials and No Commercial plans in addition to its Live TV service.

This is Hulu’s fourth premium add-on, the other being HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime. They cost $14.99 per month, 9.99 per month, and $10.99 per month respectively. It has been a little on the slow side in offering these add-on options to subscribers.

Its rival streaming services such as Sling TV and YouTube TV offers considerably more options and the former even provides bundles of such options for subscribers to choose from.

Subscribers will have to pay over and above their existing subscriptions to get access to Starz. It’s going to cost them $8.99 per month. That’s the same price that it’s sold for on competing services such as Prime Video Channels by Amazon.

Hulu isn’t saying today whether or not we will see more add-ons being offered by it in the future. That possibility can certainly not be ruled out as it makes all the sense in the world for Hulu to do this.
