Amazon Echo owners now have another service to stream music from. It has been confirmed today that Pandora Premium subscribers will now be able to stream music on their Echo devices. This will also be possible on third-party speakers with Alexa that support Pandora.

It was only possible to stream music from Pandora’s online radio service previously. The service doesn’t allow users to stream full albums or access the playlists that they created.

Pandora confirmed on its blog that Premium subscribers can now stream full albums, playlists, and songs from the on-demand music streaming service to their Echo devices. It’s also possible to set Pandora as the default music library for Alexa. This also allows for easier playback control as it becomes possible to control the tracks with voice commands. Pandora Premium subscribers will soon get support for their unique Personalized Soundtracks as well.

There are a few services that can be set as the default music library for Alexa. They include Amazon Music Unlimited, Deezer, Spotify, and Tidal. Two major services that don’t have this capability as yet are Apple Music and YouTube Music / Google Play Music.

Amazon Echo devices and third-party speakers with Pandora support will be able to allow users to stream music from Pandora Premium starting today.
