A report late last year revealed that Samsung has a new smartwatch in the works codenamed “Pulse”. Now in a post on Twitter by leakster @OnLeaks, renders of the upcoming smartwatch have revealed its potential design. Note that these renders aren’t “leaks” per se and are actually based on factory data, so the final/actual design might look different.

However for the most part it does look like a regular smartwatch, although some have pointed out that the edge of the smartwatch seems to be smooth, suggesting that the adjustable dial could be removed. The renders also reveal two buttons to the right of the watch, and according to @OnLeaks, the device is expected to be offered in black, silver, green, and pink gold.

It is also said that the watch could be officially known as the Samsung Galaxy Sport, meaning that the watch in question is being aimed at fitness enthusiasts and we expect that it should come with water resistance and maybe even some rugged features built into it, even though the renders don’t really seem like it.

There is no word on when the smartwatch will be launched, but given that Samsung’s keynote at CES 2019 has already taken place, maybe MWC could be when it is officially announced. Alternatively Samsung is also expected to host an event for the Galaxy S10 so maybe it could be launched then instead, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details.
