One of the unique features of Samsung’s smartwatches to date is its rotating bezel which allowed users to control certain features of the smartwatch via the bezel if they preferred interacting with it in a way that also provided tactile feedback. However it seems that Samsung could be considering ditching that feature.

According to a render shared by 91mobiles, it shows an image of what appears to be a Samsung smartwatch with a smooth bezel which you can see in the image to the right. This seems to suggest that the bezel has been removed along with the rotating feature, thus giving the watch a sleeker look, although we’re sure that some will probably miss it.

The smartwatch in question is allegedly that of the Galaxy Sport, and we’re not sure if this could be another name or a different model completely from the Galaxy Watch Active which has been rumored about in recent times. Also it is unclear if the removal of the rotating bezel will only apply to this particular model, or if it will apply to all future Samsung wearables.

It’s probably best to take this render with a grain of salt for now, but Samsung is hosting an event on the 20th of February where we expect that all the official details of the company’s upcoming products, like the Galaxy S10, its foldable phone, and wearables will be revealed.
