For those who are fans of the X-Men’s Gambit character, you might have heard and were probably pretty thrilled to learn that a Gambit movie could be in the works. The character has appeared in a couple of X-Men movies in the past, where it was later reported that he would be getting his own standalone movie.
It was expected to star Channing Tatum but now it looks like the movie might no longer be happening. This is according to a release schedule of all of Disney’s planned movies over the next few years, and unfortunately, based on that schedule, it seems that the Gambit movie is nowhere to be found on the list.
We should note that the list mentions the upcoming Dark Phoenix movie, so Disney has taken Fox’s movies into consideration following their successful acquisition. It is a bit of a bummer that we will not be seeing Gambit, but it has been stated in the past that it might be a while before Disney starts to incorporate the X-Men into the MCU.

Also what’s notable is Deadpool 3 is also absent from Disney’s calendar. Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds did confirm earlier this year that the third movie in the series is in development, and hopefully we’ll hear some official news soon.
