For a few years now, we have been hearing that an Uncharted movie is in the works. After all, some have compared the game to Indiana Jones, and with it being an adventure game, it actually makes a lot of sense for it to be made into a movie. Earlier this year, we heard that the movie finally found a new director, and now it looks like we have a release date to look forward to.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that the Uncharted movie now has a release date and that it apparently has been set for a release on the 18th of December, 2020. This means that we still have about one and a half years left of waiting before the movie is released, but it should mean that production and filming should be kicking off soon.

As to the story of the movie, we know that it will be based on the Uncharted series, but it will apparently focus on a younger Nathan Drake. The main character will be played by none other than Spider-Man’s Tom Holland, so hopefully, it will be a good movie to look forward to. We expect that additional details such as a trailer will probably come at a much later date, so don’t hold your breath just yet.
