One of the features of YouTube Music is that it allows users to not only watch music videos, but they will also be able to stream regular music as well. However, this is usually an either-or kind of situation, where you can either choose to watch a music video or stream its audio, but that will now change.

YouTube has announced some changes that they will be making to YouTube Music where users will be able to seamlessly switch between watching music videos and listening to just its audio. This means that if you’re watching a video halfway and decide to just switch to its audio, a quick flip of a toggle will let you do just that.

According to YouTube, “Switching between songs and music videos is as simple as the tap of a button. Users will notice a video button at the top of the screen as they start listening to a song, and with a simple tap, they can instantly start watching the music video or flip back to the audio at the same point in the track.”

This will be applicable for subscribers of YouTube Premium and also YouTube Music Premium. This sounds like it could be a pretty useful feature. This is because YouTube will show up an option for a video if the song has it, thus allowing users to discover new music videos if they didn’t know about it.
