In the wireless earbuds market, it’s hard to deny that Apple’s AirPods are dominating. However, they are still very much just a pair of headphones that doesn’t really do that much. According to a rumor from earlier this year, Amazon could be planning on challenging the AirPods with their own wireless headphones, and now a new report seems to confirm it.

According to the report, the company is said to be developing a pair of wireless earbuds that will come with Alexa built into it. In addition to coming with Alexa, the report claims that there will be fitness tracking features built into it as well, meaning that users will be able to listen to their music and track their physical activities at the same time.

To make it even more appealing, these earbuds are said to be compatible with both iOS and Android devices and that they could be priced below $100, thus undercutting the likes of Apple. We should point out that Amazon will not be the first company to launch a pair of headphones with fitness tracking capabilities, but its rumored price point could make it more appealing than what’s in the market today.

There is no word on when these earbuds could be launched so take it with a grain of salt and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for when they do.
