For a while now, we have been hearing rumors that Apple could be working on a Tile-like tracker of their own. It was largely expected that this accessory would make an appearance at the company’s iPhone event, but that obviously did not happen, which begs the question of when will we see it?

There is a good chance that it could be soon, because based on all the mounting evidence that we’re starting to find in iOS, Apple could be gearing up for an announcement soon. In fact, in the latest iOS update, which comes in the form of iOS 13.2, the folks at 9to5Mac have discovered references made to the device, which apparently could be known as the “AirTag”.

This is based on the naming of the folders where the assets of the device are stored in, where it has been named “AirTag”. It is possible that the name could change upon its release, but at the same time, given Apple’s branding, it sort of makes sense. There is still no word on when Apple plans on announcing the device, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

There have been rumors that Apple could host an event at the end of the month to announce a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, but given that we’re only a couple of days away, it’s starting to feel a bit unlikely.
