While taking photos via our wrist might not necessarily be the most ergonomic, it might actually be useful if you’re looking for a bodycam and you’d rather not strap a harness to your chest and walk around with a GoPro smack in the middle. This is why if you own the Apple Watch, you might be interested in a device called the Wristcam.

This is an Apple-certified accessory for the Apple Watch that comes with a pair of cameras built into the strap. One of the cameras will be pointing upwards, presumably if you’re trying to take a selfie or vlog, while the other is pointed forwards so that you can record everything that’s in front of you.

The upwards facing camera is of the 2MP variety while the forward facing camera has an 8MP sensor and can capture 1080p videos and 4K stills. While it’s an intriguing idea, the Wristcam, judging from the photos, is extremely bulky and we’re not sure if this is something you might want to walk around with all day strapped to your wrist.

The company does claim that the Wristcam is “lightweight”, but we suppose different people might have different opinions. If you’re interested in getting your hands on it, you’ll be able to nab one from the company’s website for $299.
