There are so many different wearables to choose from in the market right now. You have devices powered by Google’s Wear OS, then you have companies who create their own smartwatch platforms like Samsung, then you also have fitness trackers, and then you also have the Apple Watch.

In terms of popularity, it seems that Apple might have everyone beat because according to analyst Neil Cybart at Above Avalon, he has recently shared a report in which it has been suggested that there are over 100 million people around the world who are wearing the Apple Watch right now.

Apple initially launched the Apple Watch in late 2014, but it was only in early 2015 that it was released, meaning that in six years, Apple has managed to convince 100 million people to buy the device. Also what’s interesting about the report is that it seems to suggest that the Apple Watch still has a lot of room to grow because only 10% of iPhone users have an Apple Watch.

This means that there is still a lot of untapped market potential left that Apple can look into. Apple is expected to continue building on the medical and health features of the Apple Watch, with the latest rumors claiming that this year’s Apple Watch could even come with the highly-coveted non-invasive method of monitoring the user’s blood sugar levels.
