If you value long-lasting battery life in a pair of wireless earbuds, then you might be interested to learn that OnePlus could be working on a new pair that is said to offer as much as 40 hours of battery life. This is rumored to come in the form of the OnePlus Buds Z2, the successor to the original OnePlus Buds Z.

According to renders and specs obtained by GizNext, it seems that the design of the OnePlus Buds Z2 won’t look too different from the OnePlus Buds Z TWS. However, there might be some subtle changes like the angle of the ear tips to make it a more comfortable fit, but other than that, the external design won’t be too different.

The earbuds are rumored to feature Bluetooth 5.2 support and each bud will come with its own 40mAh battery. This will provide users with about 5 hours of battery life with ANC on, and up to 7 hours of battery life with ANC off. The charging case will come with an additional 27 hours of battery life so in total, you should be able to squeeze around 40 hours of usage out of them.

Other rumored features include support for Google Assistant along with an IP55 rating, making them water and sweat resistant so using them during a workout shouldn’t be a problem. It is unclear how much they will cost but hopefully OnePlus will have some official details to share soon.
