Music streaming services are all the rage these days, but unfortunately they do have their flaws. For audiophiles who want a higher quality stream, there aren’t that many options around. Also, given that different companies have made different deals with record labels and publishers, sometimes you might not be able to find the songs that you want.

So what if you’ve already subscribed to a service like Apple Music? Apple Music is priced pretty competitively like the rest of the streaming services out there, but in case it’s not the service for you, you’re free to cancel anytime since you’re not locked into any kind of contract. So how do you do it?

What happens when you cancel your subscription?

If you’ve cancelled your subscription, you’ll still be able to access the service until your billing cycle ends. This means that you’ll be able to continue using the service like normal, but once the next billing cycle hits, you’ll no longer be able to access songs in the streaming service. Songs that you’ve added to your library yourself will still be accessible, so it’s not as if your entire library will disappear.

Apple Music subscription prices

Apple Music is priced at $9.99 a month, which is relatively affordable and comparable to some of the competing streaming services out there. However, if you think $9.99 is too expensive for you, there is the student plan priced at $4.99 a month, but you will need to have some kind of proof that you are a student. There is also the family plan that costs $14.99 a month and can be shared with up to six people, so you can split that cost amongst your family members if you want.
