Sanyo Introduces Its New 3D Supporting Ultra Short Focus Projector

Sanyo has just unveiled its new ultra-short focus projector in a press conference over at their Tokyo branch. While the new WXGA projector, the PDG-DWL2500J, boasts the world’s shortest projection distance for projectors up to 9kg, we’re more interested in the fact that it supports 3D projection with the help of active shutter glasses. In case you need a real world example of its projection capabilities, it’s capable of spitting out an 80-inch large image from a distance as short as 12.6″ (32cm). With a maximum projection size of 110-inches, you can bet that many folks will like this projector. This projector offers an HDMI port, RJ-45 port, 16:10 aspect ratio, 2,500 lumens of brightness, 10w mono speakers and weighs just under 6.5kg. It’s scheduled to be available from July 2010 for 450,000 Yen ($4,868).
