Three site updated

Earlier today, a tweet from Three (a carrier from the UK) announcing that the white iPhone 4 was now available for order on their website. There was a special promotion to get the iPhone 4 for £159 on a £35/month plan with the date for earliest delivery date stated as “Wednesday 20 April 2011”. Obviously, many people rushed to purchase the phone upon finding out. However, it turns out that it was all too good to be true, and nobody will be getting their white iPhone 4s just yet: the page had gone up live on accident.

Three have updated their website now to reflect the status of the white iPhone 4 as “White iPhone 4 is currently unavailable for order online or in-store.” when you try to purchase the long-awaited white iOS phone. So until now, there’s still no confirmed date of arrival for the white iPhone 4, but something tells me we’ll be finding out soon enough, especially after the phone popping up in Verizon’s inventory last week.

How many of you will be rushing out to get the white iPhone 4 once it goes on sale? Or will you be holding out for the iPhone 5 that’s supposedly coming out later this year?
