gear-live-ifixitBoth Samsung and LG are bitter rivals despite hailing from the same country, which is a good thing since it is this rivalry that drives healthy competition between one another, and we as the consumers win out in the end – most of the time, anyways. Samsung’s latest smartwatch, the Gear Live, has been taken apart by the folks over at iFixit, and they were pretty impressed with the timepiece, giving it a repairability of 8 out of 10 – with the LG G Watch edging it out by a single point, going to show just how close the two are in terms of fierce competition.

The Samsung Gear Live does look as though it can be repaired relatively easily if you happen to have the technical know how to go along with it. Still, if you lack such experience, it would be best to leave it to the experts to get the job done. After all, they are paid for a living to do this kind of stuff.

Interestingly enough, iFixit managed to find a mysterious Wi-Fi antenna within the Samsung Gear Live, where its purpose remains unknown since the Gear Live does not have any kind of Wi-Fi capabilities. Does Samsung have something up their proverbial sleeves that we do not know of?
