iwatchThere are many who are still holding out on the possibility that the iWatch could be announced on the 9th of September alongside the iPhone 6. However recent reports have suggested that might not be the case and that the iWatch could only arrive in 2015. That being said, analyst Gene Munster has offered up his opinion and stated that there is a 50/50 chance of the iWatch debuting at the 9th of September event.

According to Munster, he believes that the iWatch could make its debut at the 9th of September event, but at the same time he understands if it doesn’t. Another possible date for the iWatch’s launch could be at the iPad event which is expected to be held this October or November.

Munster writes, “Our rationale is that Apple seems less likely to launch a new product category alongside the phone when it could dilute some of the attention from the core product vs. launching alongside iPads, which are expected to get more modest updates.” However some don’t see the iWatch as a competing product, but rather a complementary one to the iPhone as we expect that there will be some kind of synchronization across both devices.

In any case make what you will of Munster’s analysis. Munster has consistently predicted the launch of Apple’s rumored HD TV for a couple of years now without much success, but either way hopefully we will have the details on the 9th of September, so be sure to check back with us then for more info.
