tizen-fcc-z3The Tizen platform is not exactly all that popular, but this does not mean that it has no clout whatsoever. After all, as of June this year, it has been recorded that there are more than a million Samsung Z1s in the market sold, and every single one of the Samsung Z1 handsets run on the Tizen OS. It is a mild success, so to speak, and here we are with the possibility of a Samsung Z3 being spotted over on the FCC – which is more or less mandatory for anything with wireless capability before it is sold in the US.

Needless to say, it is safe to assume that the US will be a minor market for the Samsung Z3, as chances are developing countries and emerging economies such as Bangladesh, Nepal and India will be where the Samsung Z3 should see the greatest impact happen in terms of sales figures and the ilk. Not only that, we are just one week away from the Tizen Developer Conference that will happen in Shenzhen, and many are already speculating that the Tizen-powered Samsung Z3 will debut then, in addition to the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch that also runs on the Tizen platform.

Other rumored hardware specifications of the Samsung Z3 will be a 5″ 720p display, a Snapdragon 410 chipset that is accompanied by 1GB of RAM (with the remote possibility of 1.5GB, who knows?) and 8GB of internal memory, not to mention an 8MP shooter behind and a 5MP selie camera.
