sprint_signAmazon Prime is a great service if you purchase a lot of things from the company’s website. There are a ton of perks, not to mention that a Prime subscription also gives customers access to music and video streaming services. However it comes at a price of $99 a year which we guess for some is a bit too expensive to subscribe to.

The good news is that Sprint is running a promotion. The carrier has recently announced that if you were to purchase a Samsung phone from the carrier, you will be eligible to receive a free one year subscription to Amazon Prime. Note that this is only good for one free year, meaning that once the year is up, you will need to continue paying for it yourself to enjoy the perks, or cancel it if you’d rather not renew it.

That being said, not all Samsung phones are eligible for this promotion. Basically it seems that Sprint is only allow Samsung’s flagship phones to be part of this promotion which includes the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and the Galaxy Note 5, all of which will cost you a pretty penny, at least compared to non-flagships.

According to Roger Solé, senior vice president marketing at Sprint, “Getting the best price in data on new Samsung smartphones and a year of Amazon Prime with activation is the best way to kick start the holiday season. It comes just in time to watch all of the great, new Amazon Original series premiering this fall, plus with FREE Two-Day Shipping, our customers can complete all their holiday shopping from the comfort of their own home.”
