beatsx-earphonesWhen Apple announced the AirPods, they also unveiled a trio of Beats headphones that were alternatives to the AirPods in case users wanted something different. One of those options was the BeatsX earphones which are a pair of relatively affordable earphones that offered up wireless capabilities.

Unfortunately it seems that if you wanted to get your hands on the BeatsX earphones, don’t expect them to be available anytime soon. According to Apple reseller B&H (via MacRumors), it seems that the headphones have been delayed 2-3 months, meaning that if this information is accurate, you’ll only be able to purchase them come January or February 2017.

According to the email that the retailer has been sending to some of its customers, “We regret to inform you that the manufacturer has informed us that they still do not know when they will begin shipping this item but they do know that it will take at least 2-3 months. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused you.”

It is unclear as to why the earphones are delayed, but if it’s true then the earphones join the AirPods as they too are similarly delayed due to either technical issues with the hardware or manufacturing problems, so don’t get your hopes up if you’re looking to get a pair in time for Christmas.
