In terms of fitness trackers, Samsung has the Gear Fit 2. However it is possible that Samsung could have another fitness tracker in the works. In a recent sighting by Galaxyclub.nl (via SamMobile), the company has filed for a trademark for the name “Gear Fit Pro” over in Europe which seems to suggest that they might have a new tracker that has yet to be announced.
It is unclear as to what the Gear Fit Pro will feature, but given the “Pro” in its name we can only imagine that maybe it will have more souped up features than the Gear Fit 2, or maybe it could be the successor of the Gear Fit 2 and will be getting a change of name. We’re also not sure when the company will unveil the device, but maybe we’ll learn more at MWC 2017.
Samsung recently confirmed that they would not be launching the Galaxy S8 at the event, but it is possible that maybe Samsung has other devices that they’ll want to show off, like new tablets, maybe some mid-range handsets, or like we said, it would also be a good opportunity to show off new wearables like the Gear Fit Pro.
There’s no guarantee that will be happening so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet. Either way we will be present at MWC 2017 so check back with us towards the end of February for the updates.
