Apple has typically been very secretive about how many Apple Watches that they have sold. We’re not sure why they have yet to officially reveal the numbers, especially when the Apple Watch is said to be the best-selling smartwatch, so you’d think that this would be something Apple would be eager to prove.

That being said, it seems that the Apple Watch Series 4 is maintaining that momentum. In fact it seems to be doing more than that because according to reports, demand for the new Apple Watch Series 4 is so strong that Apple had to seek out another manufacturer to help them meet the demand for the new watches.

Previously Quanta Computer was Apple’s main manufacturer for the Apple Watch, but due to strong demand, it seems that Apple has now tapped Compal to help them.as Quanta is said to have reached maximum production capacity. Apple has worked with both Quanta and Compal in the past so it isn’t that surprising to see Apple return to either companies again.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is Apple’s latest entry in the Apple Watch lineup. It features larger displays and also comes with more advanced health tracking features, like a built-in ECG monitor. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had also previously revealed that demand for the smartwatch was much better than expected, where he now expects Apple to be able of shipping as much as 19.5 million units in 2018 alone.
