Hasbro’s Nerf blasters are fun as toys, even for grown ups, and they know it. The company has worked with Blizzard to release Overwatch-themed Nerf blasters and now it looks like Hasbro will be capitalizing on yet another popular video game: Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale in which we can expect to see Fortnite themed Nerf blasters.

Unfortunately details are scarce at this point in time, and it also seems that we won’t be able to find out anything about them anytime soon as Hasbro only plans to launch them in 2019. According to Hasbro, these Nerf blasters will “immerse fans into the player-versus-player action of the game”.

It is unclear as to what that means. It could either stand for regular marketing speak, or as CNET points out, there are a line of Nerf laser blasters so it is possible that Hasbro could be looking to build something Fortnite-related using that technology, such as virtual walls and powerups, which we reckon would be amazing.

If anything it also reaffirms the popularity of the game which has been raking in a ton of money for Epic. In fact just recently a Fortnite Monopoly board was also unveiled in which it seems to offer a slight twist on the classic board game.
