Spider-man: Far From Home has yet to be released, but it seems that the rumors about the third movie have started to make their rounds. According to a series of tweets by an alleged Marvel insider calling themselves Roger Wardell, the third installment in Marvel’s Spider-Man movies could see Tom Hardy’s Venom character introduced.

If this is true, it would officially mark the introduction of Venom into the MCU. In many ways, it makes sense, given how big a role Venom plays in the history of Spider-Man. It also makes sense financially, with Hardy’s Venom movie raking in over $800 million in sales, despite it being panned by critics.

There is no confirmation yet, but the insider claims that Sony is apparently “desperate” to get the character into the movie. We know that there are more Venom movies planned, with the second movie largely expected to introduce us to Carnage. Also, with Hardy’s portrayal of Venom as being an anti-hero, it would be unlikely that Spider-Man and Venom would face off as enemies in the movie, if it ever happened.

As to how accurate these claims are, this particular insider had posted a couple of tweets back in December 2018 where he/she correctly revealed some scenes from Avengers: Endgame, so it seems that they do have some insider knowledge (or the very uncanny ability to predict movie scenes). Take it with a grain of salt for now, but it will probably be a few years before we learn anything.
