According to the rumors from 2018, it was suggested that Apple could be working on a set of AirPods with noise cancelling features. More recently, it was also reported that these AirPods could actually be launched by the end of 2019, and now according to a sighting in the iOS 13.2 beta, they could indeed be coming soon.

This is based on icons spotted in iOS 13.2 in which the AirPods seems to have a new icon. Right now, the AirPods kind of resemble the free set of earphones that Apple bundles with its iPhones, except that it is wireless. However, these new icons depict a set of AirPods that looks slightly different where it seems to be sporting a set of eartips.

This suggests that at the very least, the AirPods could be undergoing a redesign, where the eartips could allow for a more snug fit. It also hints that these tips could be swappable to allow for a better fit for people with different sized ear holes. However, some have also speculated that this could also be a hint that they might be the rumored noise cancellation AirPods that we have been hearing about so much.

We’re not sure when they are expected to debut, but it has been suggested that Apple could be hosting another event later this month. This event could cover products like the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro, refresh for the iPad Pro lineup, and also the Tile-like tracking accessory that Apple is said to be working on.
