One of the features of streaming platforms like Netflix is the ability for users to be able to download their shows for offline viewing. This is useful if you’re going somewhere with limited internet or if you just want to save battery. Either way, it’s a good feature to have and the good news is that it is finally available for Hulu users.

In an announcement by Hulu, the company has revealed that offline viewing is finally available. However, at the moment the feature will only be available on iOS devices and that you will need to be subscribed to the company’s no ads plan in order to take advantage of it.

According to Hulu, “Available today on iOS for viewers on our Hulu (No Ads) plan, you’ll now be able to download thousands of shows and movies — like past seasons of hit series including Family Guy, Desperate Housewives, This is Us, How I Met Your Mother, and ER, as well as Hulu Originals like The Handmaid’s Tale, Shrill and The Act — to take with you on the go. Now, with Hulu,  you can watch what you want, when you want…even when you don’t have an internet connection.”

It should be noted that these downloads are not permanent. Once a show has been downloaded, users will have up to 30 days to watch it before it expires, in which you’ll have to download it again. Also, once users start watching a show, they will have 2 days to complete watching it before it expires, where you’ll need to download it again.

No word on when the feature will be rolled out to Android, but Hulu notes that it will be arriving “soon”.
