Thanks to technology, it has become increasingly easier to communicate with each other than before. This has led to some pretty hi-tech ways of cheating during exams, which is why it is not surprising that the NFL has banned electronic devices that can transmit messaging while on the field.

It makes sense as it would allow opposing teams to cheat and relay strategies that could give them an edge over the competition. Unfortunately for NFL quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he might have forgotten about that rule and wore his Apple Watch while sitting on the sidelines. This has apparently led to him being hit with a $5,000 fine by the organization.

Roethlisberger recently underwent surgery for his elbow and as such is not playing in the game. It also meant that his right arm is out of commission, leading to his wife having to dress him where she put the Apple Watch on his wrist together with his street clothes. Apparently being still on the sidelines and in street clothes was considered a uniform violation, which led to the fine.

The quarterback is said to be “livid” about the fine and is apparently planning on appealing it, but whether or not he will be successful remains to be seen.
