We know that sometimes buying extended warranty can feel a bit like a rip-off, but there are moments when something happens to your device and you’re glad that you did. Now, AppleCare+ is by no means cheap as far as extended warranties are concerned, but it seems that it is now actually more worth it than ever.

This is because Apple has updated AppleCare+ where it gives you a lot more protection than it did before. For example, AppleCare+ will now cover two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months. Prior to this, it only covered two incidents every 24 months, meaning that if you now buy 24 months of AppleCare+ coverage, you should be eligible for four accidental incident repairs.

This extends to almost all of Apple’s products, which includes the AirPods, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Beats headphones, HomePod, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, and Pro Display XDR. Prior to this, the accidental incident repair varied from device to device, like Mac computers were two incidents every 36 months, but now it seems that it has been more or less standardized across the board.

The price of AppleCare+ will vary from device to device too, where the iPhone is priced at $149, while Mac computers are priced at $379. Like we said, it’s not a cheap plan, but if you’d like the peace of mind knowing that you won’t have to pay through the nose for future repairs, then the updated AppleCare+ coverage could be worth checking out.
