Sometimes learning something new is more fun when you do it with friends. If you and your friends have been meaning to try and learn something new together, then you might be interested to learn that the MasterClass app for iOS now supports SharePlay over FaceTime, which means that you’ll be able to enjoy classes online together.

For those unfamiliar, MasterClass is an online learning platform that offers video lessons on a variety of subjects taught by various professionals in the industry. For example, you have classes that teach you about writing by authors such as Neil Gaiman, then you cooking lessons from world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, and so on.

These lessons are not live but rather a collection of pre-recorded videos along with documentation that will help guide you through the topics. By introducing support for SharePlay, this means that if you and your friend have an active subscription to MasterClass, you’ll actually be able to watch the videos together at the same time, so it would be like you’re taking a class together.

MasterClass for SharePlay will let all participants pause/play content, skip forwards or backwards, and more, all of which will be synced so that you and your friends will be able to watch the same thing at the same time.
