If you’ve been meaning to pick up a Gear S3 smartwatch from Samsung you’re going to like this piece of news. The company has decided to cut the price of its smartwatch in the United States for a short while. Samsung released the Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier in the United States last year and it has now decided to reduce the price of both smartwatches in a bid to sell more units.

When Samsung launched the Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier in the United States, it priced both models at $349.99 even though the Gear S3 frontier offers cellular connectivity and the Gear S3 classic doesn’t.

It has now decided to cut the price of both models, equally. The Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier are now priced at $299 on Samsung’s official website for the United States. That’s a $50 discount on the launch price.

Those who wish to purchase the LTE variant of the Gear S3 frontier can now get it from AT&T for $299.99, however, T-Mobile still appears to be selling it for $349.99. Perhaps it will take a while before Magenta makes the price adjustment as well.

We’ve confirmed with Samsung that it is a temporary price cut so while you probably have the time to take a good look before making a decision, this won’t last forever.
