A couple of months ago when Apple announced the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and the iPhone X, they also announced that the new iPhones would all support wireless charging. They also announced that come 2018, they would be launching a wireless charging mat of their own called the AirPower.

Unfortunately details about the AirPower are unclear as presumably it is still in development, but a potential price has been revealed. This is according to a sighting on Polish retailer X-Kom’s website (via ThinkApple; via MacRumors) in which the accessory has been listed with a price tag of 999 Złotych. This has since been speculated that the AirPower charging mat could eventually cost around $200 stateside.

This is because according to ThinkApple, there have been quite a few items priced on Apple’s online store in Poland at 999 Złotych which when compared to the Apple Store in the US, is priced at $200 which isn’t a direct conversion. That being said, it is unclear if X-Kom’s listing is simply a placeholder or if they know something we don’t.

Apple still does not have a specific date as to when the AirPower will be launched, save for saying that it will arrive in 2018. We have to admit that should it cost $200, it will make it a pretty expensive accessory, but either way take it with a grain of salt and hopefully Apple will have the official details to share with us soon.
