Spoiler alert! For those who stuck around after Avengers: Infinity War, you probably saw how characters Nick Fury and Maria Hill were “killed” by Thanos. However the good news is that it looks like both characters didn’t die for real, because both of them are expected to play a role in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel.

In a report from Vulture, it has been revealed that Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders will be reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill respectively in the Spider-Man sequel, also known as Spider-Man: Far From Home. It is unclear as to how big of a role both characters are expected to play, but at the very least it does confirm that they aren’t permanently dead.

The end of Infinity War has left moviegoers with a ton of questions, but it’s safe to say that given how big of a role some of the heroes in the movie play in the MCU, Infinity War’s sequel is expected to reveal how the heroes managed to undo everything that Thanos has done. Spider-Man’s sequel also confirms that Peter Parker did not die as shown towards the end of Infinity War.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently scheduled to be released on July 5th, 2019. This will take place after the fourth Avengers movie that should explain everything.
