At this point in time, it is really anyone’s guess as to when Apple will launch the AirPower charging mat, or rather if they plan to do so after hearing reports about it facing various technical hurdles. However thankfully for iPhone users seeking alternatives, Belkin is more than happy to oblige.

The company has recently taken the wraps off its new Boost Up wireless charging dock which will allow users to wireless charge their iPhones (and presumably any other Qi-compatible device), and also the Apple Watch (which still uses the magnetic dock to charge). Belkin’s solution offers a clean and sleek design so if you fancy yourself a minimalist, this could be worth checking out.

According to Belkin, it will support wireless charging for up to 7.5W, and 5W for the Apple Watch. There will also be a USB-A port on its side that users can use to charge devices that don’t support wireless charging. The design also means that the Apple Watch can be used in Nightstand mode, making it ideal to be placed on your desk or bedside table.

Unfortunately in terms of pricing, the Belkin Boost Up does not come cheap as it will be priced at $160. However you will be getting three chargers in one, so we guess it’s not too bad.
